What are we?
Are we random occurrences that, by complete chance, gained the ability to choose between one instinct or another? While animals are completely dominated by instincts, who cannot choose past their reaction to stimuli, we somehow became aware of that fact when we were but chained-to-instincts animals. It is like we went from line 1 to point B…The point exists on a plain which transcends lines and the point is an absolute, opposed to a line, which has no beginning or end and is relative to how it is perceived. Living as an animal would be like being a person living completely linearly ( Living in a line… Line 1).
You are only one direction and have no definite location (relating to animals and their lack of purpose. Or how we would be in a chain of evolution). People who live on this line would not be able to understand that they are a line. Their ability to perceive starts and ends with the definition of their existence (or purpose) which, in a line, doesn’t have a value. When would a people in this linear world be able to suddenly perceive they are a line or, better yet, become a point on a plain?
In other words, when would a 2-D creature be able to see a 3rd point to shapes or even be able to go from being 2-D to existing as a 3-D creature (what makes something 2-D, or 3-D, is how many plains/points, it has. If someone was 2-D, it would only have 2 points/plains and would only be able to see other things in 2-D)?
Considering we have the ability to perceive purpose in things (The 3rd point), we have to be of purpose ourselves simply do to the fact that we can perceive it. Would you hear a 2-D man questioning whether or not he really isn’t 2-D or that he might even be 3-D? No, because he cannot know what 3-D is because he has no way of grasping it.
Thus, we are purposeful, which means we have to have a purpose for existing just like a 2-D creature cannot perceive 3-D objects without being 3-D themselves. Not only are we born of purpose now, but we always have been. Remember; an undefined line cannot become a defined point. Therefore, simply because we are able to question our purpose shows that we are of purpose.
“Well that is great and all, bur what IS our purpose?” Thank you for asking! Our purpose is like that 3rd point; the fact that we see it makes us have it, we cannot exists without it, and we are reflections of a relationship. The relationship comes from the fact that a 3-D shape cannot exists as 3-D without at least two more points other than itself. It is dependent on the relationship
of points.
We have to be connected to something that is greater than the one plain we are looking at.
“But… What is it?”
Why, thank you for asking…
